From Gainesville, Florida, Secrets She Kept is by far the best black metal band i have heard in the entire Florida area. (Need I note, the name has nothing to do with being black metal. BUT- founder of SSK, Necrol, did that on purpose to keep from having the stereotypical black metal names.) With great production, a priceless intro, great Vocals, balls to the wall drum beats, orgasmic guitars riffs, and solos, very well done, heavy bass riffs, this is such a great combination of sounds, thus making EXCELLENT music. Tracks like "Ave Mortii" with 3 parts to it, go from very beautiful and melodic, to very heavy skull ripping riffs. "A Bitch in Season" is by far my favorite track. It definately gets added brownie points for the well done divebombs ;) . BUT, the MOST catchy track on the entire album, definately has to be "Damnation Black"... i'm CONSTANTLY singing its vocals and riffs to myself, its crazy. lol. Secrets She Kept has gotten the attention from various members from bands, such as: Immortal, Necrophagia, Bloodthrone,Agatha Damon, and The Fog of Frost. As well as many labels, including Century Media, and Nuclear Blast. SSK will be back in the black metalers bible for a 2nd time, the BW&BK Magazine (Brave Worlds & Bloody Knuckles), only this time, SSK will be on the demo cd that comes with the magazine monthly. A sound to please everyones music tastes, this is a highly recommended album for your ears pleasure ;) . It hasnt left my cd player since it's been in it, and is still in there as I write this.
