Holy fuck!! I was all together skeptical about the quality of the performance, song writing etc. you know the drill. Not only did this prove to be quite the opposite of my negative expectations but, let me so fucking stunned I have been playing this constantly even as I write. Passed the point that there has been a number if Greek acts into the deadlier side of things, none have so done as good as these guys. I'd have to say that it is easy to gather from listening to them where many of the inspirations come from: /Arkhon Infaustus/Incantation/Morbid Angel- Hate eternal/and the heaviness of the early Finnish bands like Demigod and Convulse. They do act nice twists to the concoction with chants in their native language, adding all that we love in Death Metal: Blasphemy, Death, Destruction, Satan :). All of these songs greatly surpass their initial effort "Purifying Consecrated Ground" which found its way out of my collection very quickly due to the cheesy production and unimaginative delivery writing wise. There are no bad songs on this damn disc. My only gripe is that the end of the last track, "Teeth into red" has a very long ending of the same riff over and over. A cool riff but beat to a pulp by it's playing time (the song is over 9 minutes). Overall, a serious ass kicking Death Metal CD the likes of which we salivate over once is heard. 9.5/10 -Abysmal Lord |
