New Renaissance Rec's had a pretty cool little roster of bands that was amplified by them having rights to press Sepultura's Morbid Visions CD. Besides that, their best band was, without a doubt, Holocross from Pittsburg, PA.

Holocross was all balls to the wall thrash with no connections in similarity to the other bands of the period. Vocalist Char R.G. delivered a militant style accompanied by highed pitched screams that just augmentated the feel of the songs as they got into heavier and faster riffs- some have compared him to Bobby Blitz from Overkill in younger times.

The themes of the songs were war themed and was made evident in tracks like "Wolfpack", "Bombardment", "Warpath". and "Battle Stations". A hell of a best of an LP, somehow the band did not stay together for too long. In 1990, they did record an LP named "Hypercaust" which was not released. You can hear "Hypercaust" samples by visiting the only band site I am aware of.
