The other day I was salivating over this LP once more. It's power calling to me from it's peaceful slumber in my LP collection, disturbing my very essence!
Asides from this nightmare, Miasma is a truly underrated gem of Death Metal that for once reason or another was highly praised by many in its days for bringing a front of originally sounding Death Metal in the beginning when this form of music was beginning to slide into a dormant state.

Satanic sounding to the bone and with the energy and sound it needed to deliver a chill to every self respecting Death-head, "Changes" appeared in 1992 under the newly formed Lethal records which had also released the killer debut by Fins Belial. In comparison with other releases of the time, I would more nearly compare it to Massacra on steroids. It was distorted and full of raging thrash riffing with some solos here and there but, a beast in its own camp as they sounded nothing like other bands and did not rarely solely on the prevalent mix of heavy grind which many a band followed.

Unfortunately, this was to be the only full release. Their next effort, an EP named 'Love Songs" was the last thing they would ever do as a unit and dissolved shortly there after. The band has now reunited and released a 2007 demo. One of the songs can be heard at http://www.myspace.com/miasmaaustria. Expect an interview from them in our site soon!!!
