necrometal - Poison - Into The Abyss "12" 1986/1993

Coming out of good ol' Deutschland, the sound of this band was by far at the time pulverizing anything that Kreator, Destruction and Sodom were doing at the time since Poison's musicianship was way more advanced and darker in feel. Poison released numerous demos prior to being royally screwed by Roadrunner Recs due to a contractual obligation arising out of a comp LP featuring German bands. Sounds typical of them, even now RR there are numerous stories of how they fucked over a lot of bands.

luckily for us, the stir caused by their brand of black/thrash was too strong to ignore and has continues to defy time, they were one of those bands that within the underground, managed to summon a original sound and keep us thrasing for aeons to come.
One of their members did move on within the scene and is part of the outfit, R U Dead.
