necrometal - Portal - Lurker At The Threshold Demo

Without a doubt Portal are a band in a league of its own. Using a myriad of dark thoughts mixed with nostalgic evil and barbaric death that Canada's Blasphemy wished they could have graduated to. This is a 3 song demo which features a newer line up consisting of fellow Aussie Stargazer members. Portal was at one point before its formation, involved in a band called Invocation and did a split CD w/ Stargazer.

Getting to the music, one has to really open up those ear drums. The riffing onslaught is nothing short of incredible and there is much more than what one appears to hear. Just imagine the first time you heard Immolation's Dawn of Possession. Yes, it is that good., it is the horror of HP Lovecraft with a death metal soundtrack.
The only setback for some people could be the medium chosen to deliver these tracks : a cassette! Sure, it makes it stand out so, you gotta go and find a tape player somewhere or hope someone rips it into an mp3 in soulseek. If you want to hear these tracks, and I hope you do, dont be a cheap ass. the demo can be attained thru Nuclearwarnow!
