1.) Being In Kentucky Do You Find It Hard To Find Good Support For Death Metal?

I) Yeah, Death Metal isn't a popular topic in Kentucky Haha. Most the bands in my area are pop punk , emo or bar bands that play top 40 covers. Thankfully myspace and other internet sites offer great promotion opportunities that also allow fans to interact with bands and find out about bands they never even knew exsisted before.

2.) How Long Have You Been On Dissected Angel Records? And Have You Tried To Get Maggot Infested On A Bigger Label?

M/I) Maggot Infested joined the Dissected Angel family in late October early November of last year ,and I'm happy to be invovled with DAR and the great bands they support. Just recently MI joined the Morgure House family which Im also happy to be a part of. Previously I released MI material on my own label Infected Fetus Records created for the sole purpose of releasing MI and other projects I was involved with. As far as a bigger label goes, I dont really want to sell MI out or make it anything other than a underground project. I plan to stay true to the DIY scene and the underground. My only wish is just to make MI available to be heard and let others know it's out there to check out. Although it would be nice to have a couple of pro-pressings haha.

3.) I Have Noticed You Have Been On Some Split Albums And Some Comps. What Is Your
Favorite Album You Have Produced?

M/I) MI has appeared on a few splits and comps. I'm looking forward to the release of the DAR Emo Decimation Comp which has a great line up. I'd have to say though as far as my favorite it would be the new album I'm currently working on. It's dosen't have a title yet and it's coming along rather slow but I'd say it's my best work so far.

4.) Has Maggot Infested Ever Played Live Anywhere?

M/I) MI played live practices when it first started out but no shows. I have given great thought to taking MI live but the lack of members and local interest create doubts in ever taking it live. As for now MI will remain a solo project with no live preformances.

5.) What Is The Recording Process Like For M/I?

M/I) Haha like pulling teeth. Generally I lay down the drum tracks first then it's the guitars, which I try to pan out for a more of a stereo effect. Next would come the samples followed by the bass and vocals. It usually takes a while to get a track complete but in the end I feel the time spent was worth it.

6.) Most Death Metal Bands Have Topics For Albums..What Are Some Of The
Things You Write About When You Are In The Writing Progress?

M/I) Well with the first album Aborted Fetus, Pip wrote most the lyrics and they vary greatly from ridiculous topics to more serious ones. The new album on the other hand has taken on more of a tribute to horror movie villians and their obsessions and a few personal ones as well. Lately it's been all seriousness but I plan on switching things up alot more in the future.

7.) What Can We Be Expecting From M/I In The Furture As In Releases?

M/I) The new album should be released sometime this spring around April. After that I was thinking of taking a small break then working on some EPs before starting work on another full-length. Im also looking forward to doing some splits and more comps as well.

8.) You Are A Member Of KYDM, Has This Group Became As Huge As NYDM?

M/I) HAHAHA Oh no not even close, although it has picked up considerately since it was started. I am hoping to see more death metal bands from KY stepping up and getting involved. It's really sad to see bands that are badass get no promotion or any kind of support. This is our way of saying Kentucky isn't just about bluegrass, horseshit, and fucking your relatives!
